What am I most proud of accomplishing at ACA?

Although I love to see our cheerleaders eyes light up when they get their back handspring, or master some other skill that they are working so hard on, what I am most proud of is just this: Watching the girls that came to me who couldn’t quite look me in the eye because they were so shy and unsure of themselves and then seeing them now – smiling, with excited expressions on their faces - watching them perform with such passion and energy. It is the realization that our program has helped them find who they are, not that shy girl – but someone who, indeed, will be recognized in this world!
