JoAnne has been with ACA since the start of the program in 2005. Not only does she have cheerleading experience, she also has an extensive gymnastic background. Joanne works tirelessly in the gym helping all our athletes hone their tumbling and gymnastics skills.
She competed in women’s gymnastics and also has taught gymnastics for nearly twenty four years in all-round classes and at summer camps. She also has approximately eight years of cheerleading experience, including junior and senior high school, as well as college level.
Certifications: USASF Levels 1-5, CPR, First Aid, USA Gymnastics
JoAnne is very happy to be part of the ACA staff. She feels that the ACA spirit has rejuvenated her energy. She loves working with the athletes, constantly encouraging and challenging them to strive for the next level. Her favorite quote is: “It’s not what we say but what we do that defines us.”
JoAnne received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Scranton and also has a CEBS Certification and her series 6, 7, and 63 licensing. She lives with her husband and four children, one of which is in the ACA program.
What is my take on extreme cheerleading, gymnastics and safety?
“Being a mother of four, I understand the concerns parents have when they put their children in another person’s care. When you put your child in the care of an ACA staff member, you can be sure that they are in an environment that provides and promotes safety awareness. As a coach, I am always aware of the safety guidelines that should help to keep my teams healthy, competitive and stress-free. As a parent, I strive to help keep the children safely doing what they love.”
